April 1, 2013

MENU FOR THE WEEK OF APRIL 1, 2013

Well, we did not have the White Easter that we had been told to expect.  The large storm system that would have dumped at least 3 more inches on us stayed much to the south.  Yeah! So we were left with dirty brown lawns with piles of snow around garages and such.  Daffodils are trying to work their way out, but they are having a bitch of a time with hit.  Hopefully this week I can score some pansies from the farm stand and then start thinking about my lettuces and such.  And I think tomorrow I will try to ask Warner to help me for force some forsythia.  After all, if we have to force spring, then that’s what we’ll have to do.

Am back doing most of the cooking..  Arm still has problems with lifting things like pasta pots, but it is getting there.  Yesterday I was able to get into my winter  coat for the first time in weeks.
This week I am back to the dentist.  He’ll start work on that second crown.  Ugh. Michel is an excellent dentist and a great guy to be around.  But man, do I hate going in there.  And there are sooooo many other ways I could spend that kind of money. And I’ll need to bring him cookies.  Peanut Butter this time, methinks.
