Life’s too short to be bored by dinner…
MENU FOR THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 9, 2016
Several weeks ago, we took in new cat. She and 7 other brother and sisters had been tossed onto the street when a neighbor moved in May. Warner and a lady from across the street have been feeding them since. This particular cat made it known that she was interested in a permanent home at our address.
We named her Giada de Laurentiis. Thought perhaps Julia Child could use some company after losing her brother, James Beard, a few years back.
It would appear that Julia Child would prefer to remain an only cat. A mild 16 year old with poor hearing – she has turned into HellCat No. One. She is hell bent on making Giada’s life miserable. Even well placed spray water bottles do not deter her. Oy. It is no wonder I have grey hair…
One fun experience, however, was to watch Giada devour her first shrimp. An act of clear pleasure for her. If she keeps eating the way she is, she is going to be the size of a small cheetah – and then she can deliver Julia Child a good one across the chops.
