We
are now into summer weather – hence summer food. Can’t grill every day due to the rainy
season….Good food this week.
Buttermilk/tobacco brined chicken is always great. The garlic and chili ribbed steaks really popped. Good meat with a zesty flavor. And last night the shrimp gratin was super
simple, easy, and just plain good.
The
cookies went over well with the dentist (I’m finally through with this go
round!!!) and the doctor. However, the
doctor says my cholesterol is too high.
Summer foods with simple preps and lots of grilling should help
this. It’s the braises and stews of
winter that do me in…..
