MENU
FOR THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 3, 2012
We
are having a bit of a cooler spell this week, so I raided the freezer for
Jacques Pepin’s Garbure. Wonderful the
things that come out of the freezer.
It’s like having a culinary trust fund one call always rely one should
something change - the weather, my
moods, my appetite. The problem now is that I have so much in storage that I need to use it up to make room for future foods. Ergo, in these next few weeks, you will see f/I next to a recipe – i.e. Freezer
Inventory.
Warner
is in the backbreaking process of removing the “wall to wall” carpet on the
stairs. Ugly old stuff. The idiots that built this house had white
carpet laid down on most of the floors. Ugly. Dirty. Awful. This is the last of it and good
riddance! Fortunately they had hard wood
floors under this stuff or we’d really be in a pickle. The bare stairs make
such a difference in the way that the house looks.
