MENU
FOR THE WEEK OF JULY 23, 2012
This
past week a dear friend of ours lost his mother. The memorial service was over the weekend. One of the good things about being a serious
cook, is that at times such as these,
there is something we can do to help.
In
the meantime, tomatoes on the deck are prospering. One problem is that several of the plants I
bought I thought were heirloom, are in fact, cherry tomatoes. We are going to soon have a glut of yellow
and orange cherry tomatoes. Fortunately,
I am finding lots of recipes on Epicurious. com for them. Pasta sauces, pickles
– etc. Stay tuned.
